Just wanted to share the video of my first flight. What an awesome experience. Just wanted to thank everyone that was out there that day for being so kind and helpful.
I am working on another video of I think it was Rich's mothers first flight, my 89 year old competition ;D
It looks best if you hit the HD button and full screen. I hope you enjoy it....I sure did.

Great video, nice to meet you Mrs. Skimmer! Thanks for putting this together, looked like you were having a ball right out of the chute. That's saying something too IMHO, glider flying is slightly more earthy and in "ones face" than the typical sterile passenger flight environment many people are used to (35000 feet and a quick drink before baggage claim). It can be something that might have to be seen a few times by some, before it can be fully appreciated. But you seem to be hooked like the rest of us right away! Well done! Sorry you guys did not find a lot of lift out there. If there was any, it would be Pete finding it. Pete made a good decision not to fall for the sucker punch thermal in the pattern too, displaying fine judgment for posterity in the video (Safety first!) Looking forward to hearing more about your flying adventures.

I agree about Pete not trying to take the thermal when he was already in the landing pattern. That's why I kept it in there, showing people that it is always about safety first.
I have put the video on my Facebook page and many people are now interested in coming out and trying it!
Glad you liked it!

Thanks Chris, it was cool. I am uploading the next video right now. It has Rich's mom in it and some footage I had filmed of Pete a while back. Unfortunately it's a bit shaky since it was all hand held. Wish I had the tripod with me.
But I give plugs to both Nevada Soaring and the website as well as Air Sailing.
Next time I will bring the tripod!

Isn't Mrs. Skimmer great? That is why I married her.

Good for you guys. One quote about married couples that I think hits the nail on the head: "It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages." So a soaring couple like you guys can't help but to be happy Hopefully we see more films being made at the airport by Mrs. Skimmer, and maybe I can help make a short film of Mrs. Skimmer on the day she solos, right??

By the way the last video was fun to watch as well Andrea. At this rate we can put up a whole library of AirSailing videos up for people to see

We haven't even started on the 100 NSA videos that Coot has made over the years. He just made 3 new ones recently that can be viewed in the ASI club house.

Hello Andrea, You are off to a great start flying and making videos. We should compare notes as you get deeper into editing your work.

Hi everyone,
Glad you enjoyed the videos. I am really sorry I missed the big party. But at least Pete brought home some great vittles for me.
Maybe next time. I would love to work with anyone on the videos, it is my hobby and I am slowing learning and getting better at it. So just let me know if I can be of service in anyway!!
Thanks again for the warm welcome Andrea
