A power pilot who's transitioning to gliders that I know at Byron is interested in joining NSA and doing training/flying at ASI over the spring & summer. I told him that Chukar had send out some emails indicating that maybe we won't be needing individual insurance any more but I wasn't sure.
What's the latest word?

that's correct. we will be switching to a commercial insurance program in late april. the insurance is for liability only to satisfy the asi requirements. we require members or renters to be responsible for the first $2500 of damage to a glider (the so called Canopy Clause).
