OK, from a couple of Chukar's emails I've pieced together the summary, below, of the new NSA membership. Let me know if I've got something wrong or missed something, especially since I've already sent it to a couple of guys who are thinking about joining. Larry -------------------------
After April 20 1. All gliders will be covered under a commercial policy with Costello. 2. Glider pilots will still be responsible for the first $2500 damage (the canopy clause). 3. Pilots will not have to be members of SSA - Soaring Society of America (though NSA still encourages this). 4. After April 20 pilots will no longer be REQUIRED to have nonowners' insurance. But you may want to have insurance to cover the canopy clause or more if you like. 5. Club dues will be raised from $20/mo to $25/mo (or, for dues paid all at once at the beginning of the year, an increase from $200 to $250/yr.)

Hi Larry,
Just wondering are they glider pilots, transition pilots or new pilots?
NSA has it set up that people don't become members till they have soloed or are already glider pilots.
Skimmer.
